Charlie Lane is the Vice President of Eastern Region with Abound Resources. He has over 40 years of consulting experience in banking and technology.

Charlie’s career began in Florida, where he managed a multi-bank technology division. His accomplishments include full implementation of new core processing and electronic information delivery systems, designing and implementing an item capture system as well as a new Trust system, including the development of online Trust products. Charlie left the organization as the Chief Information Officer with responsibilities for technology, bookkeeping, and the proof divisions.

Charlie has spent over 30 years of his career working with major software and consulting firms. During this period, he has held various positions, including Director of Consulting and Planning, and Director of Automation Services, and focused on the delivery of integrated solution and financial performance improvements.  His accomplishments include establishing a project management division, managing projects of core, proof of deposit, general ledger system installations, performing computer system improvements, assisting financial organizations achieve internal and financial improvements, and establishing the sales division and managing a sales process that exceeded 30% growth per year.

He also has extensive experience in item capture, integrating core systems, ATM and Debit Card processing and justification, management and efficiency consulting, network and project management, and improving financial institutions utilization and overall internal performance. His consulting experience is with both domestic and international financial institutions, ranging in size from several-million dollar banks, to multi-billion dollar holding companies.

At Abound Resources, Charlie will be using his broad experience with bank technology and performance improvement, to assist in applying the appropriate consulting solutions to issues in financial institutions in his region.
