John Matheny – Director of Sales and Marketing

John Matheny has more than 30 years of experience in sales management, marketing, business planning and strategic planning.

From 2003 to 2010, John served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Brintech Management Solutions during which he designed, implemented and managed a sales and marketing process that resulted in a 15% Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) in sales.  During that time he also headed a Sales and Marketing Consulting Practice that provided sales culture implementation, marketing planning, marketing management, market analysis, MCIF-CRM maximization and other marketing and sales related services to the financial services industry.  Prior to joining Brintech, John worked in a similar role for Sheshunoff Management Services also serving the financial services industry.

Previously, John was Director of Marketing at Cap Gemini, an international IT consulting firm. In this role, John established an inside sales function for the Enterprise Resource Planning Division and managed the introduction of a horizontal e-CRM practice and a technology based straight through processing service for financial transactions.  In 1990, John helped form a business planning and marketing consulting firm based in Houston, TX. The firm focused on business planning, capital acquisition planning, marketing planning and marketing implementation services for financial institutions, major telecommunications firms, franchises, non-profit associations, consumer products firms and start-ups.  In the early 1980s, John joined Republic Bank, Dallas, Texas, as Vice President of Marketing and subsequently managed the marketing function through the merger of Texas’ two largest banks, Republic and Interfirst into First Republic.  He was later appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing for the $4 billion San Jacinto Savings in Houston, Texas.  Prior to joining the financial services industry, John held a variety of marketing, marketing communications and strategic planning positions for the General Electric Company.

John holds a Business and Marketing degree from Ohio University. He completed graduate work in Marketing at NYU and attended the Wharton School’s Financial Management Program for Non-Financial Executives.
